This past Wednesday on February 16th, members of the University Fashion Group helped at the Neiman Marcus spring 2022 trend show. This show was the beginning of the celebration of this Neiman Marcus location being in Austin for almost 15 years. This show was a private event that even had live fashion sketching for guests done by voguevignette (Instagram).
The show showcased the upcoming spring trends which included women’s and men’s fashion. For women, the trends were tailored suits, chain jewelry, chunky sandals, cropped tops, the blazer, color pop accessories, white dresses, and high-waisted denim. For men, the trends were color silk shirts, tailored neutrals, everyday shorts, versatile knits, and fashion sandals. These trends were showcased by many high-end brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen, and many others.
The University Fashion Group members helped with behind the scenes of the event, which was dressing the models. This event was a fast-paced show with more than 30 looks in less than 30 minutes. Nonetheless, everything went swiftly besides a zipper getting stuck which was fixed right away. Afterward, there was just the cleanup and organization of the clothing as clients began to buy looks right off the runway. Overall, it was an amazing experience to help at the fashion show and get a peek at what’s coming up for the spring season.
