After nearly five months, the fall 2022 semester has finally come to an end. Throughout the semester, UFG officers worked hard to keep our traditions alive and also managed to incorporate some new events into our regular schedule. Today, I want to recap some of the best moments we shared together in the fall. From NYFW to our Halloween social to our amazing guest speakers, there’s no doubt that this semester was truly one to remember.
New York Fashion Week
Each semester, UFG offers a few of its members the chance to fly out to New York and help out behind the scenes at New York Fashion Week. It’s always so much fun to learn more about how NYFW works and what it takes to prepare for a show. Not only does the trip provide you with great experience, but it’s also a fun way to get to explore New York with all of your friends! Although the applications for the spring semester trip are already closed, we encourage you to apply next fall if you’d like to take advantage of this awesome opportunity!
Halloween Social
This year we had a Halloween Social in the Union Underground and went bowling. It was so much fun to get to talk with you guys and see all of your amazing costumes! We definitely plan on doing more events like this next semester.
Clothing Swap
Our clothing swap was a huge success! We even had a DIY station where members could alter some of their clothes. Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us!
General Meetings with Guest Speakers
This semester, we invited many different industry experts to speak at our general meetings. These included Daniel Walker, a fashion designer and Senior Recruiter for Abercrombie and Fitch, and Arlo Eisenberg, founder of GostBrand and DrugReceipts. We really enjoyed learning from their expertise and hearing all their great advice!
