Caroline is a senior in Textiles and Apparel at UT Austin. As an individual, Caroline is a relaxed and carefree person. As a designer, she likes to keep whimsical and feminine designs in mind when creating a design. When it comes to her creative process, Caroline prefers to go with the flow of what will make her idea come to life, whether that means starting with a design or draping the fabric first.

Caroline is heavily inspired by her “night owl-like” nature and how it feels to be awake while everyone else is tired. Her silhouettes are dream-like and hazy to represent this. In her collection, all four looks have a top sheer layer to create a shiny look. Caroline is excited to see her looks on the runway to see how all her final looks come together.

When asked her favorite way to incorporate sleeplessness into her collection, Carolin said, “dark tones that I’ve included and the black fabrics in my collection. But also just the different silhouettes I don’t see every day that kind of feel more inspired by nightwear.”
