“I don’t consider myself to be a particularly ethical person, but, I am fair.” – Lady Gaga as Patrizia Reggiani
Even if you don’t consider yourself to be an expert on fashion history, chances are you’ve probably heard the name “Gucci” before. Love it or hate it, the Italian brand has created quite a reputation for itself, and it is very well known amongst today’s luxury companies. However, not many people know the full story behind the Gucci family and their rise to power. Ridley Scott’s 2021 film House of Gucci, coming to theaters on November 24th, attempts to recreate the drama and tension that helped form the fashion empire we’re all familiar with today. So, without further ado, here are three reasons why we cannot WAIT to see this movie in theaters later this fall.
- The Drama
There’s one thing I’m positive about: this movie will in no way be short of drama. However, just like with the famous Netflix series The Assassination of Gianni Versace, this drama goes a bit deeper than anyone would initially expect it to, and it eventually culminates in murder. That’s right, Patrizia Reggiani eventually ends up hiring a hitman to murder her husband (for reasons I will leave up to you to discover). Clearly, this film turns dark fast. But that’s also what keeps it interesting, and informative. I, for one, am excited to see how it all plays out.
- The Amazing Cast
As a huge Lady Gaga fan myself, I cannot wait to see her act on the big screen again. Plus, just by watching the trailers, I can already tell that her and Adam Driver are going to have an amazing on-screen dynamic. In addition to these two superstars, this movie also features talented actors and actresses such as Jared Leto, Salma Hayek, Al Pacino, Tom Ford, and more.
- (Of Course) The Fashion
And lastly, would it really be a movie about Gucci without some killer looks? Here’s a sneak peek at what some of the actors/actresses will likely be wearing in the movie:

And that’s a wrap! Thank you guys so much for reading this article, and make sure to go see House of Gucci in your local movie theater on November 24th!
