Is it still 80 degrees here in Texas? Yes.
But will I still break out my boots and sweaters? Also yes.
Even though the heat has been reluctant to leave Austin lately, I, for one, am more than excited to start wearing my fall/winter clothes. While walking around campus each day, I try to take note of what my fellow students are wearing. I’ve already seen several statement pieces that caught my eye, and I’m positive that I’ll begin to see more as the season progresses. But for right now, I wanted to share some of the best upcoming trends that I’ve noticed people wearing. Hopefully, you’ll be able to use this article as inspiration for your own closet!
- Pops of Bright Color
Although this trend isn’t exactly new, I’ve definitely seen a lot of it around lately–both in-person and on the runways. Personally, I’m a big fan of it. After all, there’s no better way to spice up an outfit than by adding a splash of color.

- Cropped Blazers
This trend is an innovative take on a classic staple. After all, everyone loves blazers, and everyone loves cropped garments, so why not combine the two into one? That’s exactly what Giorgio Armani, Emilia Wickstead, and Chanel have done in some of their latest shows.

- Knit Everything
This trend also happens to be one of my favorites–not only because it’s super cute, but also because it’s just plain comfortable. When I think of winter, I think of knit sweaters, and I’m glad to see that many fashion designers are starting to feel the same way.

- (And Of Course) Puffer Jackets
They’re back, and they’re better than ever. Sure, this trend may not be specific to 2021, but this wouldn’t really be a “fall/winter” trends article without some mention of puffer jackets. I mean, let’s be honest, it sure doesn’t look like they’re going away anytime soon!

And that concludes my reviews! I have to know, what did you think of these upcoming trends? Will you be wearing them this fall? Or will you opt to go with your own favorites? Make sure to leave your opinions in the comments below! Thanks so much for reading 🙂
